Ingredients :


Potatoes – 3 medium sized or say 200 gms,Turmeric powder – ½ teaspoon,Cumin seeds – 1 tea spoon,Raw mango powder- 1 tea spoon ( optional),Red chilies powder – to taste ( optional),Ginger strips – 1 tea spoon,Green chilies – 2 whole,Tomatoes chopped – 2 medium sized,Fresh Coriander – a few sprigs,Cooking Oil – 2 tablespoons,Salt – to taste


Preparation method :


Boil and peel the potatoes and cut into small dices ( 1.5 cm cube).Mix salt and all powder spices with the potatoes.Take oil in a frying pan, add cumin seeds. Let the seeds crackle.Add ginger and green chilies.Add Tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes get sautéed.Add the marinated potatoes and cook for 5-7 minutes till potatoes get slight brown crests.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.Serve hot with Rotis or Paranthas or toasted bread.As a variation, you can make the aloo jeera without the tomatoes.
